The training is a starting point for more advanced training in counselling on releasing stress and trauma. The training consists of 5 training sessions, in which different breathing techniques, physical exercises, and meditations are introduced and practised. Depending on the training room, each session can be for 1-20 participants. The training is open to participants of all ages and capabilities. The costs for a series of 5 sessions (2 hours per session): upon request. The sessions are normally conducted on different days and spread over 2-3 weeks. Alternatively, the training can be conducted in a workshop format, consisting of two one-day workshops (6 hours per day), preferably with some days in between. Rates: upon request. Releasing Stress: Healing Anger, Fear and Trauma Advanced training and counselling. This is a follow-up to the basic stress release training. The objective is to address deeper causes of emotional and physical stress which often relate to traumatic experiences in the past, to economic and social circumstances, to disease and disability, etc. This activity consists of sessions specifically tailored to the situation of the client (individuals or groups). These can be GO/NGO/IO-staff, or persons suffering from stress, anger, fear and trauma. For the cost of a session, see ‘Stress Management and Performance Coaching’. Stress Management and Performance Coaching for Executives, Managers, and Senior Advisors Executives, managers, and advisors (in GOs, NGOs, IOs, and in the private sector), often find themselves in an isolated position. Having moved to the top, they have little opportunity to share experiences and to discuss problems. They often find it hard to admit weaknesses, to seek advice, and to consult and delegate. Carrying multiple programme, financial, as well as personnel management responsibilities, they experience significant strain and social pressure, working long hours and enjoying little relaxation. This can result in chronic stress, lead to unsatisfactory performance, result in serious health problems, and end in burn-out. With few executives, managers, and advisors having access to personal in-house performance advice and support, the option of stress management and performance coaching is worthwhile to be considered. The objective of stress management and performance coaching is to provide executives, managers, and senior advisors with a space where they can: - obtain an understanding about the causes of stress and emotions at a personal level, as well as in the work and private situation; - practice simple breathing, exercise, and meditation techniques to relieve physical and mental stress; - share and discuss management issues and problems, reflect on personal performance, and identify ways to enhance effectiveness. Stress management sessions and performance coaching will have an immediate benefit for the individual involved. It will also enable them to create a less stressful working situation, and advise colleagues, staff and partners on how to release stress and emotions. Coaching options: 1. Coaching can take place through regularly attending group sessions. 2. In case a more personal and discrete environment is preferred, individual sessions and/or team sessions can be organised as well. Coaching can take place on the initiative of organisations or institutions, or as a personal choice by an individual executive, manager, or advisor. this can be combined with building human resource capacity for effective communication, intuitive relations, and effective team management. Stress management and performance coaching: Stress management and coaching typically consist of a number of sessions. The sessions are tailored towards the work situation of the participant(s). For stress relief a minimum of 5 sessions is normally required to achieve a potentially lasting effect. Rates: upon request. |
